There is a major Cabella's about 62 miles from here, in Hamburg, Pa. It's one of those places where they have a mountan in the middle of it, covered with one stuffed mammal of every species.

I love it. They have a firearms department that is amazing. I looked at a Browning Renaissance, 9mm pistol there last month. It was on sale for $3,400 bucks.

Fondest regards,
Jack • reep • Toad
Twisted RoadsJack Riepehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531160098262862027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20666162.post-69494621973293488402011-01-26T16:46:45.652-08:002011-01-26T16:46:45.652-08:00We have a Cabelas in Pennsylvania but I've nev...We have a Cabelas in Pennsylvania but I've never visited instead draining my credit limit on their Web site. It's about 130 miles from here. Much closer to Jack Riepe. He probably eats eggs and elk steaks for breakfast there.

Katie must read your blog. Why else would you go to such great lengths to paint yourself so gallantly?? Surrendering the gooey center. What's next?

Glad to see the freezing fog hasn't got you or Elvira. As I was going through your posts (I've not read much of anything lately) I was nervous looking at the frost covered road. Not sure what has happened to me but I have not felt much like venturing forth in the snow even with new snow tires on the Vespa.

Must be some sort of cold triggered coward virus going around...

Steve Williams
Scooter in the Sticks
Follow Me on TwitterSteve Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04540977884513559091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20666162.post-32112417123520004932011-01-25T22:38:53.017-08:002011-01-25T22:38:53.017-08:00Cinnabons aren't bad, but I like Country Baker...Cinnabons aren't bad, but I like Country Bakery on Peoria Road for cinnamon rolls!

Cabela's here this spring? On the other hand, not many people can dine around a boat paddle!

Raftnn,

Exactly. Any excuse for a ride. If it involves sweet treats so much the better.

Richard,

The last Cabela's I was in had a restaurant that sold big juicy hamburgers and stuff. All the more reason to padlock the wallet shut.

Oh, you meant not being tempted to buy OTHER stuff. The secret is to ride a motorcycle with no tail trunk or tank bag. You can only purchase what will fit on the bike otherwise.

Circle Blue ( Keith )

I agree with you. There is an REI that I stop by once in a while. It's in a college town. I'm much more redneck than preppie.

Did you mean your kolache filled pastries are killer as in really good, or something to be wary of? I'm presuming the former. :)

Take care,

Danirondadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17821323482397075170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20666162.post-74991122536096970142011-01-24T17:20:16.661-08:002011-01-24T17:20:16.661-08:00I am so much more comfortable at Cabella's tha...I am so much more comfortable at Cabella's than at REI. I introduced Heather to Cabella's a couple weeks ago.
