Rough Landing!

Had a flying lesson today.  Didn't turn out so well.

Turns out wicked-fast black FJR's and jets are more dissimilar than one would think.

Miles and smiles,

Dan

  9. If you didn't try and fly under the bridges and tunnels things like this wouldn't happen.

Nice to see a post from you.

As a retired Air Canada pilot friend said to me one day, "it's not the flying that is the problem, rather taking off and landing.

Obviously Dan has returned which means he landed safely.

The flying machine however, did not land as planned.

Must be that wet coast climate, eh?

  11. Conchscooter,

Truly pleased to see your comment. I was thinking about you the other week as I was back in Klamath Falls. I'm working up to longer posts. I'll write until everyone falls asleep then shorten it by two sentences.

    Take care,

    Dan

  12. Trobairitz,

Busy, but fun. Thanks for the comment. Been kind of cool to watch for ways to help Troubadour along in the process!

    Take care,

    Dan

  15. Geoff James,

Aren't you and Conch the same two who chided me on my posts being too wordy? Or was that Trobairitz?

Either way, so grateful to see you and everyone still looking at the blog!

    Take care,

    Dan

I agree. I think I was actually chased away from this landing by the aircraft mechanics!

  18. Leoandro,

So kind of you. How is life in down there these days? Once upon a time I offered you a spot here for a guest post about it all. The offer is still open!

    Take care,

  20. Richard,

I know, it's that ornery streak in me. Nothing like flying under bridges and watching the guys in their fishing boats jumping into the water!

    Take care,

    Dan

  21. Bryce,

Maybe your pilot friend is right. Hmmm, if only the jet had a larger fuel tank!

Grateful you're still here, my old friend. How are you doing these days?

    Take care,

    Dan

  24. Bobskoot,

I remember the comment. I believe you mentioned being in Lincoln City at the time. It came to my e-mail but I don't think it showed up on the blog. There is also no reply from me, here. Weird.

I checked the spam folder which has entries from before the post and your comment isn't there, either.

    Thanks for caring!!!!

    Take care,

    Dan

I left the last comment on so you could see it. Apparently your comment and my reply got hijacked. I'm going to remove it, soon.
