I didn't see her!

Telephone pole to police officer:  "Honest, Officer, I didn't see her!"

Hmmm, perhaps a Hi-Viz cat would have helped.

Miles and smiles,

Dan

Like the hi-viz cat. It makes them easier to spot.

Irondad, Oregon must be a weirder state than I previously thought....your telephone poles move around freely? :)

I would suggest modulating headlights for the brooms of your local witches but since I've had cagers turn in front me with a modulating headlight....

Richard,

The Hi-Viz cats are most effective when they're in the front, though!

Take care,

Charlie6,

Our telephone poles actually do wander out into the roadway. Just ask any drunk driver.

That thought about modulating headlights has always been in the back of my mind. Do they cause target fixation?

I guess that's why I've avoided them so far.

Take care,

Dan

Trobairitz,

Some cats are just asking for it. However, I would never even begin to consider doing anything like that to Sir Basil.

Take care,

Dan

Guenevere,

Small world, and thanks for stopping by.

You could probably paint a Hi-Viz cat onto your bike. I've looked at your website and admired the art.

Welcome, again, to our TEAM. Soon you too, Grasshopper, will be sucked into the world of motorcycle safety training in Oregon!

Take care,

Dan

Keith,

Thanks for still being here. I've got to get back to reading your blog. I've missed all you fellow crazy people!

Take care,

Dan

Irondad, re modulating headlights...yeah, they do attract the eye but that assumes one is paying attention. Some folks think you're law enforcement and pull over or change lanes....I think they get irked when you pass by and they realize you were not a LEO. I tried it, still was invisible....

I am still a big believer in the points listed in this article: Be Unhittable

Cheers

I had a great laugh with this post. One of these days, I'm gonna get myself a Hi-Viz cat.
